KABUL: The National Procurement Commission (NPC) has approved seven out of 12 procurement issues, including construction project of Ghor-Herat roads with the length of 11,710 kilometers, a statement from the Presidential Palace said Wednesday.
A meeting of the NPC which was chaired by the country’s President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani at the Presidential Palace, discussed 12 procurement issues, approving seven at the cost of 2.5 billion afghanis, said the statement.
The approved issues also included procuring of firewood and coal of next year for the Ministry of Defense and some other issues, said the statement.
President Ghani tasked the appointed delegation to provide reports in details about the 310 construction projects related to the Ministry of Interior and that how many of them were real projects and how many imaginary and also the companies their claims remain unapproved, should be introduced to the attorney office, according to the agency.
The commission also resolved that the whole documentation related to the Real Time Data Management Consultative Services (RTDMS) relating to the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, be shared with the national procurement administration, the statement said.
