KABUL: President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani met Gen. Scott Miller, the Resolute Support Mission’s Commander here in his office yesterday, a statement said.
RS Commander praised increasing combat capabilities of the Afghan National Defense and Security Forces (ANDSF) and called their recent anti-terror operations and suppressing of the enemies as the great success, the presidential press office statement added.
Gen. Miller called better coordination among the ANDSF as their main success in recent operations and shared his report of evaluation of the security and defense organs with the president, the statement added.
According to Miller, Afghan forces have defeated the enemies and could regain most of the territories and have targeted their key commanders.
Thanking RS continued cooperation with Afghan forces, president Ghani said coordination among ANDSF have unprecedently improved and called it as the main reason behind their recent victories, according to the statement.
Afghan forces are in front line of war on terror and therefore international community’s support and cooperation essential to them, the president was quoted in the statement as saying.
