Germany seeks ways to help peace process: diplomat

KABUL: Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs Idrees Zaman met with the Charge d’ Affaires of the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany to Kabul, Christoph Peleikis here in his office yesterday, a MoFA statement said.
At the outset, the two sides discussed recent developments related to the presidential elections and the peace process.
Peleikis briefed Deputy Minister Zaman on his engagements with the Afghan authorities to discuss ways the German government can contribute to the processes. Peleikis informed the Deputy Foreign Minister of a new extensive program designed for diplomats stationed in Berlin, the statement added.
