NSA Mohib calls on British Ambassador to Kabul

KABUL: National Security Advisor, Dr. Hamdullah Mohib in a meeting with British Ambassador to Afghanistan talked on issues of various agendas, a statement from his office said Tuesday.
The British Ambassador congratulated successfully holding of the presidential election and praised the country’s security and defense forces for their success to take security of the national process, said the statement.
Dr. Mohib said Taliban wanted to disturb the process by launching tens of terrorist attacks, but didn’t manage as the country’s security forces have had all out readiness to foil their plots and prevented them from reaching their target, the statement added.
Both sides talked about peace process, intra-Afghan dialogue and future cooperation between the two countries, according to the statement.
“Peace is a dire need of the Afghans and the current dispute should be ended by recognizing the main reasons of war,” said the statement quoting the National Security Advisor.
