Calligraphy & painting exhibition opened in national gallery

KABUL: Deputy minister of art and culture for information and culture Prof. Mohammad Rasoul Bawari opened calligraphy and painting exhibition in national gallery yesterday.
In the opening ceremony attended by advisors to the MoIC Dr. Tariq Reshad and Aqibatullah Adebyar, Prof. Bawari spoke and by praising painters for their works considered talent and creativity as significant in painting.
He added that those being appreciating by national gallery of the ministry of information and culture and receiving reward were in fact example for all youth so that they could make effort and succeed.
Afterwards, head of national gallery Mohammad Hashim Shariq briefed the program and said 50 works of calligraphy and painting provided by a number of painters from cultural and art institutions were put for the display in the exhibition.
As a result of live competition held days ago, Tadbir Mehran from Azimi Art Institution got the first position, while Helal form Anafi Art Institution got the second position. In the competition, Maryam from national gallery got the third position. All received rewards and appreciation certificates granted by officials of the MoIC.
