VP Danesh asks electoral teams to accept final result

KABUL: Addressing a ceremony marking the 26th anniversary of the then USSR troops withdrawal from the country, the second Vice President Mohammad Sarwar Danesh called the announcement of the final result of the presidential election as a victory for republic system and democracy in the country
The vice president emphasized that election period has been finished since the Independent Electon Commission announced the final results, asking the electoral teams to accept thea decision and pave the way for a new season of unity and cohesion.
“I ask everyone to respect the legal competencies of the electoral institutions and their decisions and pave the way for development of the country,” he added.
He also assured people that the new government will provide the opportunity for mass participation of the people in the system, thanking Afghan people, electoral teams and bodies for practicing their votes and institutionalization of the democratic process.
