ANDSF; the only guardians of Afghanistan

There is no doubt that the brave Afghan National Defense and Security Forces (ANDSF), as the only and honest guardians of their beloved homeland, have tirelessly been chasing terrorists across the country and rendering highest number of sacrifices in war on terror. They are fighting terrorism and extremism not only for the peace and stability in Afghanistan, but on behalf of the whole humanity across the globe, as the phenomena threatening the region and world.
The ANDSF does not just defend Afghanistan, it is also the primary force facing the global terrorism front line. Despite many states sponsoring the terrorists to destroy ANDSF, and despite thousands of ANDSF lives lost in the past 19 years, the ANDSF have displayed valor, lethality and professionalism, as they defeated the insurgents in many battlefields and continued to grow towards their necessary capabilities.
Fighting against over 20 different terrorist groups — who, of course, use different methods, techniques, and tactics on the battlefields — our beloved and proud ANDSF have not even lost a single province or city to the enemies. In fact, they have steadily gained territory and caused heavy human and material losses to the Taliban and other terrorist groups such as ISIS-K.
Currently, the ANDSF — particularly the Afghan Special Forces and the Afghan Air Force who are taking responsibly for much of the fighting — are in a capable shape, conducting complex independent operations with no or limited foreign support.
For the first time this year, ANDSF could successfully conduct self-planned and self-commanded and controlled “liberating operations,” as they call them, to free ordinary Afghans and ANDSF personnel from the Taliban prisons. As a result, they have freed hundreds of men from the Taliban prisons. From the beginning of the Taliban’s so-called spring offensive, ANDSF have targeted Taliban’s key commanders and shadow governors, battlefield commanders, and senior leaders. The brave Afghan forces could also demolished Daesh strongholds in Nangarhar, where hundreds of their families surrendered to Afghan forces.
To pay homage to their bravery and sacrifices, the Afghan government named February 28th, as the day of national soldiers. The Afghan people from across the country celebrating the day and honoring the braveries and sacrifices of their soldiers.
Afghan soldiers have shown their capabilities and gained national honor for the country throughout the history and will do so in the future as well. They must be paid enough heed and the life and dignity of their families should be ensured forever.
The Afghan government has distributed a number of apartments to the heirs of Afghan soldiers as well as opened many Coupon shops to ease food items for them and their families. There are also a number of plans to be implemented by the government to encourage and honor Afghan heroes.
But, it is important that the state and its allies reinforce the soldiers and equip them with strong arms in order to mitigate the insurgency. Our soldiers, who fight not only to protect nation’s rights but also to root out radicalism, should be considered the national heroes and heroines. Their sacrifices are highly appreciable and their names should be eternal in our history.
Meanwhile it is indeed fitting and proper that Afghans celebrating one day each year to pay special tribute to their brave security forces, whose constancy and courage constitute one of the bulwarks guarding the freedom of this nation and the peace of the free world.
The national defense and security forces day gives us an opportunity to honor and celebrate all men and women who have dedicated their lives to protecting our beloved motherland.
