Paktia residents reiterate support to Afghan forces

KABUL: Thousands of people gathered in Paktia’s Ahmadabad district and commemorated the National Soldiers day on Wednesday, according to local media reports.
Addressing the event, provincial spokesman Abdullah Hasrat, Deputy admin to Paktia Police Chief , Haji Mohammad Sargand, counternarcotic director of the province Hafizullah Ahmadzai, Ahmadabad district governor Hazrat Mohammad Rodwal, district police chief Ahmad Shah Bidar and a number of local elders and influential figures spoke related to the national soldiers day and praised braveries and sacrifices of the Afghan National Defense and Security Forces.
The speakers said that Afghan forces defended the territorial integrity with high morale, but in a difficult situation and have given much sacrifices on the way, asking people to spare no efforts in support of their beloved security forces.
The district residents reiterated support to the security forces, saying that would stand beside them if needed. The event continued with distribution of flowers to the Afghan forces in the district.
