President Ghani accepts credentials of new Czech ambassador

KABUL: President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani officially accepted the diplomatic credentials of Jiri Baloun, the newly-appointed ambassador of the Czech Republic to Kabul here yesterday morning during a ceremony at the Presidential Palace, a statement said.
 
Both sides discussed efforts to further strengthen and deepen bilateral relations between Afghanistan and the Czech Republic, the presidential press office added.
President Ghani expressed gratitude to the Czech Republic for its assistance with Afghanistan in development and security areas, the statement added.
Ambassador Jiri Baloun reaffirmed his country’s commitment to continue to cooperate with Afghanistan in the spheres of security, peace and development as a strategic and good partner, according to statement.
